Rebelle Rally Team 163 – Cinnamon and Gunpowder consists of Shelby Wagner and Sarah Bonvallet. For both women, this is their first time competing in the Rebelle Rally, but not their first time pushing themselves. They discovered a shared love for the outdoors when backpacking in Wyoming several years ago. Completely unplugged and sleeping beneath the stars, Shelby and Sarah dreamed of one day competing in a rally adventure. One slightly competitive and a natural with a map, the other calm, steady and at-home behind the wheel, they realized what a great team they would be.

They are the first ever Minnesota team and are excited to be representing the land of 10,000 lakes. Both Shelby and Sarah will share the driving and navigational responsibilities.

Team 163’s goals are to represent the state of Minnesota well, push themselves both physically and mentally and return with stories of inspiration. They are looking forward to both the intense off-road driving challenges and the extreme difficulties in navigating with only a compass and map!

FUN FACT: I was a Girl Scout for as long as you can be one! I went from 1st grade through Senior year in HS. It was with this group of leaders and girls, I learned how to start 1-match fires, camp in the pouring rain and connect with and strongly support other women.

FUN FACT: I LOVE food. I really enjoy the history, love, and care that goes into growing food, as well as bringing a recipe to life. Some may say I’m a bit obsessed, but conversations over food with friends and family are some of my happiest moments.
