#123 – Team Rogue Wave

“I feel honored to have the opportunity to compete for the 4th year. I’ve had a tough 2019 and I’ve learned many lessons but I think the most important are that life is short, your job does not define you, and money is paper you can’t take with you. The Rebelle is a time when I’m fully alive and fully present, all while playing the best game on the planet with the finest and fiercely competitive women. I’m grateful to the many sponsors and friends who’ve helped me and always have my back. I’m really looking forward to spending time with my new teammate and am so excited to see how we will merge our experiences into something great. We have the same birthday which is cool, I’m just slightly older. Ha I thought I was a last minute join in 2018 but signing up 11 days before tech this year is crazy. But, my heart is ready, my head is ready, my Jeep…..isn’t,(hyperventilating) but it will be. Let’s do this Team 123!!!” – Melissa Fischer “I didn’t think I was going to be competing this year, but with a little help from all the right people things came together! I’m very excited to be competing with Melissa. Although we both lived in Moab for many years, I didn’t get to know her until the Rebelle Rally in 2017. She was always one of my favorite competitors, and I think we are going to get along swimmingly! We are cramming all of our preparation into 10 days before meeting up for tech inspection in Tahoe. It was definitely a last minute decision to register, but I’m confident going into this with her and our combined experience. I love the Rally and the community of people that comes with it. Let’s do this!!!” – Teralin Petereit

#207 – Team Record the Journey

Record The Journey, thanks in large part to Mitsubishi USA, has entered an impressive team of military women – three-time Rebelle and Team Spirit Award winner Rachael Ridenour and teammate Karah Behrend, a medically retired Air Force Veteran who is an inspirational adaptive athlete who competes in multiple sports in a wheelchair. Behrend will drive the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross with hand controls in the CUV Class. Record The Journey is a Veteran owned non profit organization that provides outdoor photography adventures to military, veterans and their families. They are set to record Karah’s journey to become the first adaptive athlete to complete the Rebelle Rally.

#107 – Team Luna

#107 – Team Luna

Team 107 was formed in the grit and sand of Glamis where prior to being teammates, both April & Joanna went to train on the dunes in February 2019. April grew up in Alaska, and got her introduction to driving big trucks as a team leader for AmeriCorps. She made her way to the lower 48, first by skiing across the Juneau Icefield, and then by taking the long slow ferry very south. A few years ago she discovered rock crawling when she was invited on a date to the Rubicon. After a bit of truck envy and wanting to be the one to drive, she found a pristine 2011 4runner Trail Edition, and named her Luna. Together they’ve gone on numerous trips & trails, and are looking forward to this next adventure. Joanna decided in 2016 seemingly on a whim to buy a Jeep, but maybe something deep down inside was yearning for adventure. After attending a training clinic with a local 4×4 club, she was bitten by the off-road bug. She has since explored trails in the Sierras, Moab, and of course sand dune training in Glamis, and is excited for the Rebelle to be her next big adventure.

Laura, (Badass) Wanlass and I met on Rally last year. But only in passing. That Rally was a first for both of us and apparently left us both hungry for more. The stars aligned and here we are as team 188 ready to DO THIS! WE both love dirt, are navigation nerds and prefer laughter over frowns. In the short time we have begun to get to know one another we have learned that we share a similar drive in constant personal growth, setting and accomplishing goals and working hard so that we can play harder!

Originally from New York, Eliza now spends most of her time on the west coast skiing, stunt coordinating, stunt driving and competing in stage rallies. Kendra, a 4-time Rebelle competitor and business owner, is originally from Hemet, CA and now resides in Snoqualmie, WA. The two experience collectors were introduced via Rebelle Competitor Liaison, Andrea. It was team at first phone call as the two hit it off and began making plans for competition. Eliza will be primarily chauffeuring Kendra around while she yells muffled directions through her helmet as they both try and find checkpoints in the deserts of California & Nevada.
