Lyn is an automotive journalist and screenwriter based in Los Angeles. When she’s not driving on tracks or off-road for work, she’s driving on tracks and off-road for fun. Fate, friends, and the Rebelle Rally have brought Nicole and Lyn together for this amazing adventure!
Nicole is a substitute teacher in Lakeside, CA and mom of four amazing kids, ages 10,8,7, and 4. Her passion for off-roading began at a young age as her father, in his 1980 International Scout Traveler, chose to pick the roads less traveled. It sparked a love for the older off-road vehicles such as, the Ford Bronco and Jeep CJ-7. As an adolescent she would regularly dream about driving down a desert road, in her CJ-7, with the top off and the wind in her hair. Finally in her early 20’s she acquired what she was looking for, a 1984 CJ-7. Her love of the desert roads, her Jeep, and competition has driven her to become a competitor in this year’s Rebelle Rally.
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION FOR THE TEAM SPIRIT AWARD: Team Parker For Life
Our team name, Team Rubicon Recon was created to honor the third member of our team, our 2017 Jeep Rubicon Recon. We liked the term “Recon” in the name because both Lyn and myself come from a long line of military veterans. We also feel as though we are doing our own rally reconnaissance. During the Rebelle Rally we are being sent out into the desert to gather information, survey the topography, take bearings, plot points, and then maneuver our way to strategically placed check points. It’s going to take a lot of skill and precision. Team Rubicon Recon is up for the challenge.
