Competing for the first time, is team #143, the Off Grid Rebelles. Navigator Kelsey Pringle, and driver Liz (Elizabeth) Switten. Kelsey Pringle is an avid adventurer, entrepreneur, mother and wife; not necessarily in that order. Having always had the spirit for adventure, travel, camping, and connecting to nature, Kelsey naturally gravitated to recreational overland driving in her late 20’s. As her marketing company grew, she found herself falling more in love with vehicle recreation with every job that gave her an excuse to drive a 4×4, and sold her family sedan for a Jeep. Now Kelsey, husband Wade, and their children Hudson (4) and Charlotte (2) are found outside more often than inside. Liz is a Registered Veterinary Technician, who primarily works in Canine Physical Rehabilitation. She is also the Vice President of one of California’s oldest 4WD clubs, the Sierra Treasure Hunters. She enjoys traveling, overlanding, and hiking with her husband Bert and 13 year old daughter Chloe. Let’s not forget the pups Luna and Snipper as they are often along for the adventure as well. A common weekend occurrence is a typical lovers quarrel or who gets to drive their 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Wrangler. Both women, and their families, are the quintessential weekend warriors. They became friends after doing work for Off Grid Trailers. What started out as a wish to compete in the Rebelle quickly turned into full send. Having never met in person Kelsey and Liz jumped into the adventure before either could back out. The third teammate for the duo is Liz’s 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLUR, Big Red. Kelsey and Liz are both very excited to be competing for the first time together. As moms, they hope competing will inspire their children to always go after what they desire in life; to demonstrate that you should never stop living, and to always enjoy the ride.
