9TH RALLY EDITION: OCTOBER 10 – 19, 2024

#205

Team Wild Grace 8.0

Driver Rebecca Donaghe is originally from Texas and graduated with business degrees from Texas A&M and Yale School of Management. She lives in Marina del Rey, CA and is an award-winning producer in film, television and advertising for more than 20 years.

She’s an endurance adventure-seeker. On the water, Rebecca has sailed the coast of California, Adriatic Sea, Caribbean, Atlantic and the Sea of Cortez and regularly races with a crew out of Marina del Rey on a Transpac52 sailboat. She’s surfed famous breaks of SoCal, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica and paddled the remote Amazon River for 6 days in a 450lb traditional wooden canoe. On land, she has climbed the cliffs of Steinwand, Germany and the rock walls of Joshua Tree, CA, hiked the Andes and the Pyrenees, rode a 50cc mini moto for 7 days across Morocco and another for 12 days across Mongolia and competed in the off-road Rallye Aicha des Gazelles and Rally Jameel in the Sahara and Saudi deserts.

She is an Original Rebelle with a podium finish in 2017, co-champion of the 4×4 class and Bone Stock winner in 2018 and champion of the X-Cross class in 2019. In 2020, she and her 6yr teammate, Emme Hall, pioneered the electrified designation with a 4×4 class stage win and returned in 2021 for a stage win and top 5 finish.

For Rebecca, competing in the Rebelle Rally holds a special place in the ranks of any of her endurance adventures. It is where adventure meets serious game theory. It’s a test of intelligent decision analysis, grit, communication and consistency in unforgiving, inconsistent circumstances, and sheer will. It pushes competitors and their vehicles beyond their expected limits and reveals all the strengths and challenges of both. The information it provides for a competitor and for a manufacturer can only improve performance in life and on the road (or off it). She rallies to find out who she will be on the other side.

After 6 Rebelle years as navigator, she moves from the right seat to the left, driving for the first time as a competitor and partnering with another Original Rebelle, Sedona Blinson.

Navigator Sedona holds the remarkable honor of also being a 100% Rebelle as she enters her 8th rally year. She competed with Nissan for 7 years finishing top 6 consistently, garnering 4th in 4×4 class in 2020 and 2nd place in the X-Cross class in 2022. She also competed in the first all-women motorsport event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Rally Jameel, in 2021 and took 5th overall.

From Phoenix, she now lives in Gilbert, Arizona and is a marketing manager for Rigid Industries.

Sedona is also an avid endurance adventure-seeker with marriage to an entrepreneur and motherhood of two young boys. In 2016, she earned hero status amongst the Original Rebelles competing just months after giving birth to her second child. Pursuing the personal growth of the rally competition, she continued to pump through the rally so she could return to breast-feeding after crossing the finish line. Returning for 7 more years of grueling (yet easier by comparison) competition has earned her legendary hero status with her sons and number one fan Doug Blinson.

For Sedona, the Rebelle is a competition that promotes growth in its participants – growth as competitors and as persons. That potential for self-growth is what keeps bringing her back. Together with Rebecca they form Team Wild Grace 8.0.

While BMW has been a supporter of founder Emily Miller and the Rebelle Rally since its inception, Team Wild Grace is excited to introduce the OEM to the Rebelle community in competition and showcase their performance on the ultimate proving ground of this world class event. See you in the dirt!
