10TH RALLY EDITION: OCTOBER 8 – 18, 2025

2025 Rebelle Rally Field Update: TECH INSPECTION

October 8, 2025 (Mammoth Lakes, CA)

The Rebelle Rally, America’s longest competitive off-road rally, marks its 10th edition this year with a record-setting 67 teams clearing Technical Inspection.

This year’s course spans more than 2,800 kilometers across California and Nevada, the longest course in the rally’s history. Competitors will rely solely on maps, compasses, and roadbooks—no GPS or electronic devices allowed—to navigate some of the most challenging terrain in the American West. With the course kept strictly confidential, competitors will make their way to three basecamps and tackle two grueling Marathon Legs designed to test endurance, skill, and strategy.

Event Overview

Today in Mammoth Lakes, California, the rally officially kicked off with Technical Inspection at The Village Plaza. This convivial event was open to the public, giving sponsors, fans, and local residents the opportunity to meet the teams, see the competition vehicles, and learn more about the Rebelle Rally.

During Technical Inspection, each team was required to clear a series of detailed checks to ensure they were ready to compete. Every vehicle was rigorously inspected from checking suspension to verifying compliance with safety and competition standards. Staff confirmed that navigation systems were disabled, safety equipment was in place, and teams were adhering to rally-specific regulations. Event decals were applied, and competitors received YB tracking gear that will monitor them throughout the nine-day course, including the unscored Prologue Day on October 9th.

Vehicle Entries and Contingency

Marking its 10th edition, the Rebelle Rally is a competition for stock manufacturer vehicles, not race cars. This year, seven auto manufacturer and automotive dealer partners have entered 19 teams across the 4×4 and X-Cross® classes. The 4×4 class features 4-wheel drive vehicles with a two-speed transfer case (low-range gears), while X-Cross vehicles are unibody construction trucks and SUVs with all-wheel drive (no low range).

Toyota, Ford, and Jeep vehicles represent the largest number of entries in the 4×4 class. There are a record-setting seven Land Rovers this year along with four INEOS Grenadier entries including two fielded by Warner INEOS Grenadier out of Salt Lake City, Utah. A well-prepared Lexus GX470 and a Nissan Xterra round out the 4×4 line up.

The Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge returns for the third consecutive year with 25 teams competing on Pirelli Scorpion™ tires for a monetary prize that can be directed to the charity of their choice. The challenge includes the new, highly anticipated Pirelli Scorpion™ All Terrain XTM. Pennzoil’s inaugural Pennzoil Challenge, with 31 teams participating, offers a VIP Trip to the 2026 Pennzoil 400 for the top scoring privateer 4×4 team using Pennzoil motor oil along with other prizes.
