After 1 prologue, 8 days of scored competition, and nearly 2,800 kilometers (1,700+ miles), the 2025 Rebelle Rally drew to a close with the Rebellation gala and awards ceremony. The longest competitive off-road rally in the nation attracts competitors from all walks of life with a love for adventure.

4x4 Class

Winning teams in the 10th anniversary of the Rebelle Rally showed grit and strategy to top their competitors. First-place winners Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit have each taken first place at the Rebelle Rally four and six times, respectively. This is the first year the second place team achieved a podium spot; Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith earned the Rookie of the Year designation as privateers in 2022 and were picked up by the Ford in 2023. Susan Pieper and Elise Young also earned a place on the podium in third place after competing as privateers for their first few years; this is the second year they were sponsored by Warner INEOS Grenadier. It’s also the first year an INEOS vehicle has reached the podium. 

Barlow and Petereit won four stages: 1, 4, 6, and 8. Team 128 (Pieper and Young) earned the most points on Day 2, Haydon and Smith took Day 7, Team 122 (Tobi Hlavnicka and Caralina Carlson) won Day 3, and Team 150 (Shelby Hall and Rori Lewis) topped the field on Day 5.

X-Cross® Class

Maintaining a commanding lead from the start, returning X-Cross® champions Carey Lando and Andrea Shaffer (Team 200) stood atop the podium this year. Lando and Shaffer teamed up to win stages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in their sponsored 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid, earning the most points for each of those days in the category. 

Second place went to Team 205, nine-time Rebelle Rebecca Donaghe and Rookie teammate Rebecca Dalski in a sponsored 2024 BMW X5 40i xDrive. Dalski and Donaghe achieved the highest score in their class on days 7 and 8. 

In third, Team 210 Emme Hall and Kendra Miller piloted their sponsored 2025 Subaru Outback to a podium spot, also topping the field on Day 6. Hall has competed in the Rebelle Rally five times and won in each class (2018 and 2019) and Miller has been a competitor nine times; both are original Rebelles, meaning they participated in the very first one in 2016. This is the first time they’ve paired up.

Rookies of the Year

The 2025 Rebelle Rally hosted 16 Rookie teams, and four rose to the top with impressive skill. Team 117 (Tina Chang and Jill McAdoo) landed in 17th place out of 67 teams in their very first scored Rebelle Enduro Challenge, a good omen. Chang and McAdoo went on to earn the coveted Rookie of the Year award, edging out Team 116 (Daisy Maxcy and Jillian Schaible) by only 9 points. In third, Germany-based Team 123 made an impressive debut, sponsored by Magna.

In the X-Cross® class, Team 203 (Kimberly Carte and Eva De Los Santos), both Iridium employees, earned 1st place in Rookie of the Year, piloting their BILSTEIN-equipped 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. 

Special Awards

The Pirelli Scorpion™ and Pennzoil Challenge winners, International Cup, and Team Spirit awards were the last to be announced.

Pirelli Scorpion™ Challenge winners Team 139, Team 173, and Team 159 were awarded a donation to a preferred non-profit organization in their name.

Pennzoil rewarded Team 122, Tobi Hlavnicka and Caralina Carlson, with a VIP Trip to the 2026 Pennzoil 400 next March for being the top team using Pennzoil in their vehicle. 

The International Cup was awarded to Team 123, Andrea Mueller and Elena Kintzel. These competitors, both rookies, drove a 2020 Jeep Gladiator for Magna International. 

Team Spirit Award

The Team Spirit award was co-presented with Rebelle partner Scrubblade to Team 172, sisters Peg Eaton and Char Walsh. In 2024, Eaton’s partner had to pull out of the competition and Walsh filled in last minute. This year, both sisters were back to compete again and their fellow competitors voted for them to receive this award for their willingness to help and positive attitude throughout the rally.

About the Rebelle Rally

The Rebelle Rally is the longest competitive off-road rally in the United States.
