We have been friends since elementary school! This has been an incredible learning experience for us this year since we are not only rookies, we are also new to EVERYTHING that the Rebelle entails so this is our big adventure.

My husband and I own two small businesses. The freedom and flexibility to work for ourselves is really wonderful however the pressure is very high. I do not hold the bulk of that responsibility, but we depend on each other, and I take great pride in being a "whatever it takes" part of our support system.

I like to stay in haunted hotels.
My dad sent me a link to the Rebelle while I was recovering from shoulder surgery last year. I was so excited the more I read about it, all I could think was "this is next". It was very motivating and that is the right time to make a move towards something this big. There are a million reasons to second guess yourself so registering while enthusiasm was peaked seemed like the right time to do the thing.
The more of them I meet the more my answer is other Rebelles. Incredible ability and attitude towards difficult situations. They have been so inspiring and helpful during training.

Taking my daughter to Ireland. A few misadventures, wrong turns and haunted castles make for great stories.
We are both learning a brand-new set of skills this year. Our objective (speaking for both of us) is to finish and have a HUGE life experience. We will talk about this forever. Objective two, try to relax. It's all just an elaborate game so try to remember this is for fun.
Generally my interests revolve around anything outside. I spend a great deal of time behind the camera and with my dogs. In previous years I have trained and competed in endurance sports (Triathlon, long distance cycling, running). I live in Florida but spend a lot of time in our cabin in Western North Carolina. Being in the mountains is my favorite place on Earth.
Very little! I spent a few years drag racing in high school and a few off road courses before I signed up for the Rebelle. This has been a tremendous learning experience and I would definitely call myself new to motorsports but you have to let yourself be a beginner before you can be anything else.
I have ridden my bike from state line to state line across Iowa. I am an Ironman finisher. I have swam from Alcatraz across San Fransisco bay and recently received an open water scuba certification with my daughter.
The moment I realized I wanted a Porsche one day.
I have been a full-time mom for the last 8 years and I recently started serving in a restaurant.

I came down with a "chronic mystery illness" about 5 years ago. It has made life quite challenging and I have been on a rollercoaster of a healing journey ever since. I have learned so many things about myself and it has been such a blessing to realize how much inner strength I have that I never knew was there.
So I have this friend I've known since elementary school. She grew up to be an accomplished adventure enthusiast to say the least. I have spent years trying to live vicariously through her while seeing her experiences in so many things I was never really physically able to do myself. Last October, she reached out in search of a partner for the Rebelle Rally. "This is it," I thought, "This one is for me."It's time for the adventure I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for. So I said yes, and Team 105, the Blackwater Bombshells, was born!
My mother has and always will be my biggest inspiration and my biggest fan. I have never known a better person in my life. She was my biggest supporter and my best friend, teaching me about life and about faith, always with a cheerful disposition and a selfless attitude. I aspire to be more like her every day.
As corny as it sounds, my greatest adventure has been motherhood. Every single bit of it from A-Z. But my senior trip to Europe wasn't too shabby either. We saw London, the Loire Valley and a few of it's castles, and I turned 18 in Paris. Amazing times!
We are in this to see what we can see and see what we can DO! Competition is always fun, and it will be interesting to see how we compare to the other teams, old and new, but we are most excited to get out there and see what we can achieve as a team. We have a lot of history together and more often than not, we have the most fun just being silly and making ourselves laugh. That's what we're looking for in all this. The experience of being out there in the wild, testing our new skills, and making new memories and new friends along the way.
My time is spent with my 8-year old daughter and husband. We are huge fans of camping and we like to look for new and interesting local adventures. I am a movie buff and I love binging old television shows. I also love drawing, painting, and reading. My guilty pleasure is letting my inner nerd out to play Lord of the Rings online ;)
I have zero experience with motortsports prior to the brief rally training my teammate and I had this year. This makes it a very exciting challenge to get out there and see if we can execute these new skills!
I remember sitting on the edge of the front of my dad's truck while he had the hood up. He would let me hand him all the tools and hold the flashlight while he did all the fixing.
