Team 112 Jess² reRouting is made up of two women named Jess who crossed paths during the 2023 Rebelle Rally, competing against each other, but ultimately finding common ground in grit, skill, and mutual respect. On Day 0, Jessica (navigator) stepped in to help Jessi’s team with a flat tire. They had no idea that simple act of support would plant the seed for something more.
Throughout the rally, they noticed something familiar in each other: sharp attention to detail, a steady determination, and the kind of strength that doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. Months later, Jessi reached out to Jessica with the idea of teaming up for 2025. What followed were weeks of thoughtful and honest conversations—both women making sure this partnership would be built on trust, respect, and shared vision. Eventually, Jessica said yes and Team Jess² reRouting was born.
Both based in North San Diego County, combining deep knowledge with a shared passion for adventure, exploration, and empowering others on and off the trail. Jessica brings the deep-dive mind of a strategist and navigator; Jessi brings sharp problem-solving skills, mechanical intuition, and a steady, strategic calm behind the wheel—combining brains and grit to tackle whatever the trail throws her way. Together, they are united by the desire to grow, to compete with integrity, and to prove that doing hard things, especially together, is worth it.
Their team name, Jess² reRouting, isn’t just a clever nod to their names, it’s their mindset: adaptable, focused, and unafraid to recalculate when the path shifts. Their rally motto, Bold Hearts, Gritty Minds, United Strength, isn’t just something they say. It’s how they rally.
I’m a multi-hyphenate: Marine Corps spouse, stepmom, artist, navigator, and full-time outside adventurer. I don’t work a traditional 9–5, but my days are full of meaningful work—training for the Rebelle Rally, handling the digital side of our team Jess² reRouting through our website, emails, and social media, and supporting my family. I live for the outdoors—off-roading, camping, snowboarding, kayaking, and exploring wild places across every season. To me, “occupation” is about how I show up in the world with grit, creativity, and heart—on the trail, online, and at home.

"Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." — C. S. Lewis
I once enrolled in a fire academy in my early 20s—just me and 50 guys. I made it through two intense months before injury sidelined me, but it pushed me mentally and physically more than almost anything else I’ve done. I’m still proud I showed up and held my own.
Because the Rebelle Rally is one of the few places that pushes me the way firefighting school, peak-bagging, or living solo on the road did. It’s hard, humbling, and transformative—and that’s exactly the point. I came back because I believe I’ve only scratched the surface of what I’m capable of.
I’m inspired by women who choose courage over comfort—especially trailblazers like Capt. Katie Higgins Cook, the first female pilot to fly with the Blue Angels. Her determination to step into a male-dominated space with excellence and humility reminds me that grit and grace can absolutely go hand in hand. I’m also deeply inspired by the land itself—those wild, open spaces that challenge and ground me at the same time.
Right now, I’m really into podcasts that help me grow and think deeper—The Dr. John Delony Show, The Productivity Show, The Tillage Podcast, and Anatomy of Murder (because I still love a good true crime story!). A couple books that have impacted me recently are The Next Conversation by Jefferson Fisher and Building a Non-Anxious Life by Dr. John Delony. I don’t watch many shows—I’d rather be outside or learning something new.
Living on the road alone for 2.5 years in my travel trailer was life-changing. I towed it across the country with my 4Runner, constantly moving to new places, which required nonstop planning, flexibility, and problem-solving—especially when plans fell through or things broke down. Every destination brought something new, but the biggest adventure was internal—learning to be self-sufficient, confident, and present. That season gave me the courage to step into things like the Rebelle, knowing I’ve already navigated thousands of miles of unknowns, both on the map and within myself.
2023
My personal goal is to improve on my 2023 finish, where we placed 19th overall. Since then, I’ve been focused on refining my navigation, deepening my strategy, and showing up with more preparation and perspective. As a team, we’ve set intentional goals that guide us each day: to improve daily, communicate openly, and keep our eyes on the finish line—no matter what the rally throws our way. We also have a few bigger stretch goals, the kind that feel a little scary to say out loud—so for now, we’re holding them close and putting in the work to quietly chase them.
I come alive through off-road navigation, adventure travel, and exploring remote corners of the map. I also love strength training, hiking, snowboarding, and playing soccer—but I have an equally creative side. I’m always making something: art, plans, connections, or stories. A perfect day includes a compass in hand, dirt under my tires, and a spark of inspiration in my heart.
I’ve been off-roading long before I got my driver’s license—growing up exploring trails with my dad sparked a lifelong love for maps, dirt, and the unknown. I don’t come from traditional motorsports, but I bring decades of overlanding, backroad adventuring, and land navigation experience. It shapes everything about how I approach the Rebelle: with respect for the terrain, obsession with the details, and drive to be better every day.
I’ve spent years chasing adventure across all kinds of terrain—snowboarding in the winter, kayaking in the summer, camping deep in the backcountry, and hiking some of the tallest peaks in the U. S., including Mt. Elbert and Mt. Whitney. I even lived solo in a travel trailer for two and a half years, towing it across the country with my 4Runner. Those experiences taught me to stay adaptable, trust my instincts, and find joy in being uncomfortable.
The mountains are hands-down my favorite. The crisp air, the long vistas, the green trees, and the chance of crossing a stream or spotting a hidden lake—it’s where my heart feels most at home. There's a peace in the elevation and a quiet challenge in navigating through terrain that feels both wild and grounding.
Letting go of mistakes is the hardest part. As a navigator, I put a lot of pressure on myself to be precise—and when things don’t go as planned, it’s easy to spiral into self-doubt. Learning how to reset quickly, forgive myself, and get back to problem-solving mode is an ongoing challenge I’ve been actively working on.
The Rebelle Rally was the first time I felt like I was wired correctly. For so much of my life, I’ve struggled with feeling out of place—like the way I think, the way I see patterns, obsess over details, and process information was somehow “wrong” because it didn’t match how others operated. It’s felt lonely at times, even estranging. But during the rally, all of that came together and made sense. My brain, my way of thinking—it worked. It helped us place 4th as rookies. It gave me a deep, quiet confidence that I’m not broken—I’m built for this. That feeling is something I’ll chase for the rest of my life. That’s why I’m back.
One of my favorite early memories is learning how to read a map while riding shotgun with my dad down dusty backroads. I loved watching the landscape shift as we followed unmarked trails and relied on intuition, landmarks, and paper maps. That memory stayed with me, and it’s a huge part of why navigation feels so natural to me now.

I love cooking off the grid and surprising people with meals you wouldn’t expect in the middle of nowhere—like pineapple upside-down cake, smoked ham, and personal, fresh-cooked pizzas. My goal is always the same: no one leaves my camp hungry!
Why the Rebelle? Because it’s the ultimate test of everything I love—adventure, challenge, navigation, and self-reliance. It pushes me mentally, physically, and emotionally while allowing me to grow as both a driver and a person. Why now? Because my past competitions have completely changed the way I look at challenges and opportunities. They’ve taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of pushing beyond my comfort zone, and now I’m ready to take those lessons and apply them at the highest level in the Rebelle Rally.
I’m inspired by grit in motion—people who fall, recover, and keep going. Whether it's on sand dunes, rocky switchbacks, or in life, those are my kind of people. That’s the energy I carry into every checkpoint, every class I teach, and every mile behind the wheel.

One of my greatest adventures to date was spending two weeks off-roading along the Continental Divide Trail, traveling from Utah all the way to the Canadian border. Following the rugged backroads and mountain passes of this iconic route, we explored some of the most remote and breathtaking landscapes in the western U. S. From wide open plains and endless big skies to secluded forests, every day brought new, awe-inspiring views. Being off the grid for that long was truly transformative—it was a chance to disconnect from the noise, reconnect with nature, and experience the raw beauty of the wild.
2020, 2023
My competition objectives are all about growth, precision, and pushing boundaries. I aim to continually improve my navigation, driving, and decision-making skills while staying calm and focused under pressure. Whether it’s tackling tough terrain or refining teamwork, I’m committed to showing up stronger each time and representing the spirit of determination and resilience.
My biggest passion is anything off-road. I thrive on the challenge of rock crawling—the tougher the trail, the better. We’re currently working on a new build that will help me tackle even more extreme terrain. I’m equally passionate about overlanding and the freedom of being self-sufficient off the grid, pushing the limits of how far we can go into the unknown. I also love getting hands-on with our builds and am always eager to learn, improve, and evolve with every adventure.
Since I first competed in the 2020 Rebelle Rally, I developed a passion for pushing myself beyond my limits. The skills needed in motorsports—like precision, endurance, problem-solving, adaptability, and mental focus—are the same ones that make a successful Rebelle competitor. I’m always focused on honing those skills, whether it’s navigation, driving technique, recovery, or communication, because every bit of practice brings me closer to becoming a stronger, more capable athlete on and off the trail.
One of my favorite adventures was traveling through Colorado and exploring its many remote corners, especially the breathtaking Flat Tops Wilderness. From fishing in alpine lakes to hiking through untouched terrain, every day was a new discovery. One of the coolest moments? Watching a remote search and rescue helicopter land in the distance—an unexpected reminder of just how wild and beautiful that area truly is.
I love playing in the sand dunes—the thrill of skirting a bowl, the sway of the back end as it drifts, and the way the rig dances across the terrain. There’s something addicting about the flow and freedom of the dunes that keeps me coming back for more.
The toughest part isn’t the physical—it’s the mental reset. Bouncing back after a day that doesn’t go your way... that’s the real terrain to conquer. When a checkpoint gets missed, or something throws us off course, it’s easy to spiral. That’s where the real challenge begins: staying gritty, staying focused, and learning how to turn frustration into fuel. That’s the marathon. I always say I’m a “rear-view mirror” kind of girl—I naturally reflect, reanalyze, and run through every detail. And while that instinct has its place, the Rebelle Rally has taught me that sometimes, you have to let go of what no longer serves you, trust your gut, and adapt forward. You can’t rerun the last checkpoint—you can only reroute and rise stronger. And yes, disconnecting for 10 days with no GPS or phone? Let’s just say it’s a beautiful nightmare. But somewhere in the silence, the dust, and the challenge, I’ve learned how to recenter, refocus, and push on with heart.
The Rebelle Rally has taught me more than just navigation—it’s taught me to live in the moment, to step off the map and truly lean into the unknown. I’ve always been driven by challenge—the off-road lifestyle, crawling, overlanding, teaching, and empowering others makes my heart race. But the rally amplifies everything: endurance, independence, and adaptability under unrelenting conditions. And why come back? Because it’s more than a race—it’s an immersive journey that sharpens my leadership, hones resilience, and reconnects me with the raw joy of teamwork in the wilderness. It’s where my Jeep ARC Trooper becomes more than a rig—it’s a co-conspirator in every trail and checkpoint.
