Daisy and Jillian first crossed paths through their shared love of the overland lifestyle — running into each other at events, trail rides, and gatherings where adventure and community brought like-minded people together. In 2022, they teamed up for the 24 Hours of Uwharrie challenge, and the partnership just clicked. That experience laid the groundwork for even bigger goals, leading them to become two-time Artemis Rally champions in 2023 and 2024. What makes their team unique is the deep bond they’ve built not just through competition, but through shared values — the strong sense of independence and a shared drive to always keep improving — as drivers, builders, and adventurers. Their journey to the Rebelle Rally is a continuation of that connection: built on grit, mutual respect, and a whole lot of time behind the wheel.

I’m an overland/off-road enthusiast, business owner, and mom who lives for adventure, challenge, and time spent in nature with my family. Whether I’m behind the wheel, in the shop, or out exploring with my husband and kids, I’m all about building a life that blends passion, purpose, and grit.
I am the Co-owner and Operator of Apex Overland in North Carolina, USA along with my husband. We build, modify, and outfit vehicles for people who love adventure as much as we do. For us, it’s more than just a business — it’s a lifestyle rooted in exploration, independence, and self-reliance. Every day, we help our clients turn their vehicles into capable, adventure-ready rigs — whether they're preparing for a weekend on the trails or a long-haul expedition.

"“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!"
I used to be a total printing (like printing presses) nerd — and I’ll still fully geek out if I’m anywhere near an old letterpress. There’s something fascinating about the craftsmanship and history behind it that totally captivates me.
The Rebelle Rally has been a long-time goal — a challenge that represents everything I’ve built my life around: adventure, resilience, and pushing limits. I committed to competing in 2024, but my teammate and dear friend Kathryn Cerruto was diagnosed with cancer, and I chose to postpone so we could face that fight together. She passed away in May of 2025, and now I’m doing this not just for myself — but for the both of us. The timing was never right before — my husband’s military career and being based in North Carolina made the logistics tough. But this year, everything is aligning. I’m finally in a place where I can take this on fully, and I’m bringing Kat’s strength, memory, and spirit with me across every mile. This isn’t just a rally — it’s a promise I made, and one I intend to keep.
My inspiration comes from my husband and our family. His support, strength, and shared passion for adventure keep me motivated every day. Together, we’ve built a life around exploration, resilience, and growth — and it reminds me why I keep pushing forward every day.
Oh thats hard to narrow down! I would say I mostly listen to True Crime podcasts.
My greatest adventure has been the journey of exploring the outdoors with my family and building our overland business alongside my husband. Both have challenged me, taught me resilience, and allowed me to create a life full of passion, growth, and unforgettable memories.
My primary objective in the Rebelle Rally is to honor the dream I shared with my late best friend, Kat — to complete this incredible challenge for both of us. While I want to perform at my best, this rally is about so much more to me. It’s about pushing my limits, embracing the adventure, and proving to myself that resilience and determination can carry me through even the toughest circumstances. It’s also about forging a deep connection with the landscape, the community, and the spirit of the rally itself. This experience will be a tribute, a personal milestone, and a testament to the power of friendship, grit, and following your passion — no matter the obstacles.
Most of what I do is rooted in the overland lifestyle — and that’s by design. My work, passions, and family life all intersect in the best possible way. I'm a mom, and one of the things I love most is being able to explore the outdoors with my family — whether we’re off-roading, camping, or just finding quiet moments in nature together.
My background in motorsports comes from a blend of real-world experience, technical knowledge, and a passion for off-road performance. Through events, rallys and our shop, I’ve had the opportunity to be both behind the wheel and behind the builds. It’s about problem-solving, pushing limits, and the creativity that comes with finding new ways to explore.
- 2 time Artemis Rally Champion with Daisy - Mentoring others interested in offroad and overland lifestyles- drove solo, across the country from NC, to CA and back in 2024. 6500+ miles. Originally this was supposed to include my best friend, but she couldn't make it. So she encouraged me to go still. It was an amazing and empowering experience.
Before founding our overland and offroad shop, my husband and I have always been deeply involved in building and modifying our personal rigs and vehicles so it is very hard to come up with a single memory. We have quite the collection at the moment, and are in the process of restoring a 1986 Toyota 4Runner which I am quite excited on how that is going to turn out once complete.

I have a youtube channel called Spartan Overland. I document all my adventures from rallies, hiking and traveling so one day I can look back and re-live all these incredible moments!
After competing in several competitions and Rallies it just felt like this was the obvious next step in the journey.
I can't say that any one thing or person really. I am inspired by incredible moments of strength and perseverance. Unity of groups of people to accomplish the impossible. Those awh inspiring moments, that's what inspires me to do more and be better.
I listen to so many podcasts I could never narrow it down
My greatest adventure to date is the last year of work up that got me here! A year ago I couldn't tell you much of anything about a paper map and don't even ask about a compass! A year ago I had basically never driven in the sand. A year ago I had never been west of the Mississippi! Thus past year has been my greatest adventure
I want to learn and gain the life experience. I mean I want to do well but this is about so much more than winning. I hope to come away from this challenge with strengths and abilities I'll use for ever
I love offroad and outdoors activities. My dream is to be an offroad instructor and I'm working toward that now using any spare time I can to train with some of the best instructors.
Not sure if it is "motorsports" specifically but I have competed in several offroad competitions and rallies on the East coast. Most recently Jillian and I won the Artemis rally 2 years in a row

Sophomore year my best friends family got a golf cart. That summer the two of us had that golf cart on all sorts of trails through the forest connecting our houses. It was fun and a little crazy, pretty sure that was the summer I discovered my love of offroading.
