Team Ultimate Rebellion

“Personal excellence is the Ultimate Rebellion.” – Andy Frisella
Team Ultimate Rebellion lives by this mantra and brings it to life both on and off the trail. With over 20 years of combined off-road experience, Lisa DeLuca and Brittony Marenco are no strangers to the grit, strategy, and heart it takes to thrive in the dirt. Lisa returns for her third Rebelle Rally as Navigator, bringing experience in map-and-compass navigation and rally strategy. After competing in 2022 and 2024, she’s become known for her analytical mindset, calm demeanor under pressure, and relentless drive to improve. A natural leader with a knack for detail, Lisa’s passion lies in mastering the skills that make Rebelle so unique and helping her team shine along the way. This year, she’s joined by longtime friend and first-time Rebelle driver Brittony Marenco. Though new to the competition, Brittony is a powerhouse behind the wheel. With a background that spans overlanding, rock crawling, dirt biking, and a career in the off-road aftermarket industry, she brings technical skill, mechanical know-how, and fearless driving to the team. Her experience navigating remote terrain and challenging trails has built a driver’s intuition you can’t teach, only earn through miles. Lisa and Brittony met over a decade ago on a local off-road trail in their Toyota Tacomas, and their friendship has been fueled ever since by a shared love of adventure, challenge, and constant growth. The Rebelle Rally is the ultimate test of those values and they’re here to rise to it. With their experience, determination, and unbreakable team bond, Team Ultimate Rebellion is ready to push their skills to the limit in the 2025 Rebelle Rally 4×4 class.

Lisa DeLuca

Navigator

I am determined and persistent, thriving in challenges with a refusal to quit when things get tough. I am also kind and nurturing, I love encouraging others to grow and watch them succeed.

What is your occupation and what does that mean to you?

I am a homemaker for my husband and our two spirited young daughters, a role that keeps me ever busy. Much of my time is dedicated to creating a strong, supportive home and being present for my family’s growth. Beyond that, I love giving back to my community through volunteer work as a scout leader and lacrosse coach, where I get to encourage kids to explore, build confidence and push their limits. To me these roles are about nurturing resilience, adventure and curiosity.

Why the Rebelle? Why now?

I have wanted to compete in the Rebelle Rally since its inception. I was able to make it to the competition twice before, but this dream originated with Brittony, my partner for this year. The dream is finally becoming a reality 10 years in the making. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us on this year’s course.

Who, or what, inspires you most?

The Rebelle that inspires me the most is Holly Casey. In my daily life I find inspiration through music and nature.

Greatest adventure to date?

Being a mom has been my greatest adventure. I get to discover new sides of my children and see my husband grow as a father, all while experiencing the constant evolution of our family. While I cherish the memories of past phases, I’m equally excited for what’s ahead and focused on savoring the moments we have now.

Prior Years Competed:

2022, 2024

What are your competition objectives and why?

I am competitive by nature so naturally I want to do really well and push myself to achieve my personal best. I know the Rebelle attracts many competitive women, so I am excited to see where we will land on the leaderboard this year. I am also competing with one of my closest friends and looking forward to being able to experience this adventure and personal challenge together as a team.

What makes you tick, outside of work?

Outside of home and family my biggest passion is off-roading. I am active in several off-road groups and volunteer for trail projects to help keep our public lands open and accessible. I love the challenge of learning new skills and building out my vehicles which currently include my Tacoma, FZJ80 Land Cruiser, and Gladiator. Exploring new places and pushing myself on increasingly difficult trails is fun for me with rock crawling being my favorite. For me, off-roading is not just a hobby but a way to connect with community, nature, and my own limits.

What is your background in motorsports, and how does that shape how you're approaching the Rebelle?

I am a returning Rebelle having competed twice before and each year has given me lessons in navigation, strategy and perseverance. Outside of the Rebelle Rally I have spent the past several years as part of a pit crew at King of the Hammers gaining experience in the fast-paced world of desert and rock racing. This has shaped my belief that success in motorsports begins with preparation, teamwork, and problem-solving when the unexpected happens. I am always looking for ways to improve such as efficiency hacks and practicing my skills for every aspect of the competition. This year to prepare for the rally I have overhauled the Tacoma myself gaining mechanical knowledge and familiarity with every system.

Which terrain is your favorite part of the course and why?

As a navigator, I love the beginning of the course when we’re often in established trail systems and I have more time to take in the amazing places we visit. Open OHV areas such as Johnson Valley are my favorite to drive, free to go where we want and usually full of a variety of terrain. Deep sand always presents a challenge that I usually end up enjoying in hindsight.

What is the most challenging part of the Rally for you?

The early mornings are a challenge for me as someone who naturally has more energy in the evenings. I sleep train and cut caffeine before each Rebelle to better prepare my mind to be alert and focused in the early rally mornings.

How has the rally changed you and what made you want to come back?

As a stay at home Mom I find the Rebelle very rewarding. It challenges my analytical mind and gives me immediate feedback on my performance. I have gained new skills, renewed my determined spirit and challenged my idea of true grit. I make new friends each year and would hate to have them all off on this amazing adventure without me! Some Moms may look forward to an annual vacation- I look forward to a challenging competition that leaves me exhausted, dirty, yet fulfilled and wanting more.

Do you have any memorable moments with cars?

One of my only childhood car memories is my mom slamming the brakes in her minivan just to get the sliding door to close. My real love for vehicles came later, over a decade ago when my husband and I dove headfirst into off-road adventures with the very same Tacoma I’ll be competing in this year. That truck became the spark for my passion.

Greatest adventure to date?

As cheesy as it sounds, anywhere with my husband. He is my greatest adventure partner. From running a business together to multi state off-road adventures. There is no one else I enjoy doing those things with more.

What are your competition objectives and why?

I'm naturally competitive so I always am striving to do my absolute best, but I have learned through training having fun and enjoying the moments is key!

What makes you tick, outside of work?

Anything outdoor/ Off-Road related. I love nature, photography, dirt biking, street bikes and my dogs!

What is your background in motorsports, and how does that shape how you're approaching the Rebelle?

I run a small off-road fabrication shop with my husband on the day to day which has pushed me take on a lot of new challenges and learn new skills like welding. Feeling like I have accomplished a lot of my main goals at the shop I am looking for another new challenge, taking on the Rebelle. I thrive in learning new skills and seeing what i'm made of.

What kind of cool experiences do you have outside of the Rebelle?

Last year my birthday wish was to visit Moab and wheel some of my favorite trails in my Jeep Gladiator. I wanted to drive all the trails myself. It was a blast. Moab is one of my favorite places to visit.

Do you have any memorable moments with cars?

Growing up my dad used to take me to Sears Point/ Sonoma Raceway. I loved the smell, the sounds, and the speed! I fell in love with the idea of racing and anything car related then.

Vehicle

2014 Toyota Tacoma
Lisa purchased the Tacoma new in 2013 and it has been her trusted adventure partner ever since. Over the years it has tackled challenging trails and earned its stripes as a capable, reliable truck. This year it has received a full refresh, transforming it into a desert-ready machine built to handle the unique demands of the Rebelle Rally. With upgraded performance modifications and an Ivan Stewart inspired style, this Tacoma isn’t just prepared for the competition, it represents years of passion, dedication, and the evolution of an off-road journey.
