I am Co-owner of Discover 4x4 Adventures, an offroad based adventure company that focuses on education and safety as well as guided trips. Almost 5 years go I started looking for full time work, as my kids didn't need me at home much anymore. After spending some time looking, I had a hard time finding something that I felt passionate about and could dedicate 40-50 hours of my week to. Shortly thereafter, my husband and I started our business part-time, while we both still worked. About 18 moths later, we were both working for our business full-time. We love being able to share the outdoors and our love for the offroad world with everyone we meet!

If you asked my kids, "The person is more important than the object."or, "If you don't like the way I parent, then don't get yourself into a situation that requires parenting." LOL"The person is more important than the object." - No matter the situation that we are in, the person is always more important than the object or the objective.
I host Women's Wheeling Weekends twice a year. I love to see other women get into the drivers seat of their vehicle and build their confidence in their skills.
Although I have participated in the rally previously, this is my first time participating as a driver. Also for the first time, I know my rally partner prior to the event. We have been able to practice together for almost a full year. I am looking forward to experiencing the rally from the driver seat and with a friend! I

As a competitor, my hope is to make the Top 10 list. As a teammate, I am looking forward to sharing new experiences and places with my friend and to have a great time doing it!
Our work requires a great deal of time on the road. Family is very important tome and when we are home, I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandkids.
I have been a hobbyist in offroading for over 20 years. I also have 15 years of school bus driving and other commercial vehicle driving experience. I really enjoy being able to drive different vehicles and feeling how they handle on road and off. I would love the opportunity to get into competitive driving someday.
I love contact sports. I am a black belt in martial arts. I also played travel roller derby as and adult for 7 years. At 5 years in, I became the team captain and I also coached a kids derby team for 2 years.
I love it alllllll.... except the whoops in Johnson Valley.
As a navigator: letting go of my mistakes. As a driver: Letting go of having to know all the details. As a navigator, you really KNOW all the details.
The rally really gave me the confidence to step up as more of a leader in our local offroad community, which then lead to the start of our business.
When I was in high school, my husband (yes we've been together since high school) had a 1970 Chevy Nova that he would take to the local 1/4 mile track with our car buddies, who also had track cars. Those times together really started my love for motorsports.

I enjoy the equestrian life, I compete in Dressage on my Arabians horses.
When I first heard about the rally I thought it would be cool to complete. I never thought it would really happen after hearing about the cost and all the expenses and time. The worlds aligned and I am able to compete with a great friend of mine.
My dad, he has been a big influence in my life and I look up to him.
I am not really into listening to podcast or watching TV. I used to read books but not like I used to. I do not have any favorites.
In 2014 the trip to Cheyenne Wyoming, I got to go off-roading with my uncle and cousin. We got to see many places that they only the locals know.
My competition objectives are to do the best I can to learn from the mistakes and grow as an individual and to be able to allow my partner to drive the whole time.
I am passionate about my dogs, horses, chickens, goats, fitness, outdoors and off-roading.
I have been around off roading in general for many years and it helps with knowing how to prepare and navigate all types of terrains.
I have competed at the national level for the Arabian horse association and have received two top tens in two different events.
I went on a trip with my grandparents from Missouri to Massachusetts and my grandfather taught me how to read the map and all the road signs that went along as we traveled. Since then I have been fascinated with the maps.
