The Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge Returns to the Rebelle Rally
This year’s lineup includes the debut Scorpion™ XTM and the proven Scorpion™ All-Terrain Plus.

The Rebelle Rally’s toughest tire test is back for the third consecutive year. The Pirelli Scorpion™ Tire Challenge (STC) will once again push competitors and their tires to the limit in the 2025 Rebelle Rally, with the STC now featuring Pirelli’s all-new and highly anticipated, rugged Scorpion™ XTM All-Terrain.
Engineered with an aggressive tread pattern for grip on loose and rocky surfaces, the new Scorpion™ XTM is built for durability and long-distance performance: qualities essential when tackling the Rebelle Rally’s 2,500+ kilometers. It also carries a 55,000-mile limited warranty and the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating, underscoring its versatility for use beyond the rally.
With 20 teams already confirmed and more signing up, the Scorpion™ Tire Challenge has become a key proving ground for Pirelli’s off-road performance. STC competitors will run either the established Scorpion™ All-Terrain Plus tire or the new XTM tire, covering thousands of kilometers across punishing terrain, steep elevations, and unpredictable conditions.
The STC is a competition within the overall rally competition. Registered STC teams are entered into a separate challenge ladder and contingency program with a daily ranking, special prizes, award money, and donations to the team’s verifiable non-profit of choice.
Pirelli’s partnership with the Rebelle Rally began in 2021, but the connection started earlier when Rally Director Emily Miller tested Scorpion tires during pre-run activities. That trust has developed into a multi-year Gold Partnership centered on performance, reliability, and a shared passion for adventure.
